As web3 and especially the metaverse keeps developing, numerous long-established crypto projects seize the opportunity to onboard more users and offer new immersive experiences.
On Wednesday, December 15, NewsCrypto announced that they had been working on a project to integrate their educative platform into the metaverse.
The entire ecosystem will be built upon Enjin’s Efinity parachain, which is a Polkadot purpose-built blockchain for NFTs.
All-in-one office in the Metaverse
The VR setting should be starting Q4 2022. According to their report, the « NewsCryptoVerse » will include a fully customizable virtual office, which everyone could outfit to their own convenience with custom trading tools. Additional features such as trading competition prizes and even earned certificates will be displayable.
To tackle security and decentralization concerns, all these newly integrated items (avatars, certificates, tradable items…) will be minted as NFTs on Efinity parachain to ensure a high-speed experience and minimal-fee transactions.
The Genesis
This new project was started with a $1 million grant received through NWC program, and will be used between 2022 and 2026.
They will develop it in several steps, with the first milestone in sight planned for Q4 2022, in collaboration with Efinity, Enjin and Polkadot.
Endless opportunities
As more tech giants step forward towards the Metaverse everyday, it is becoming clear that this trend is here to stay. And this is an opportunity for everyone to strengthen their brand and partner with some of the brightest minds of the crypto industry. The CEO of NewsCrypto echoes this thought:
« We believe the Metaverse will be the most important frontier for bringing crypto into the mainstream, and the current wave of adoption has only just begun. That’s why we’re building the biggest upgrade yet to the NewsCrypto ecosystem by bringing it to an open, interactive, social and feature-packed virtual universe in collaboration with Enjin, an NFT industry leader. »
As NewsCrypto has been a long-time partner of YellowBlock, we are more than enthusiastic about this latest announcement.
We will, of course, follow closely their progress and will keep you updated with their latest achievements.
