The Shiba Inu team took to Twitter to unveil the introductory phase of their Metaverse land sales by commencing the launch of the widely anticipated Shib land bid event.
The introductory phase includes the Shib Land bid event which will last for three days. Users who wish to place a bid on Shib: The metaverse land plots will require to lock additional $LEASH and Shiboshis NFTs to participate in the early access land bid event.

Additional details concerning the land bid event of Shib: The Metaverse were disclosed by a shib fan account on Twitter. The account by the name of Shibinuart unveiled new details concerning SHIB’s utility in the new Shib metaverse, adding that users will now be able to use SHIB to add pictures and logos to the land plots in the Metaverse. Moreover, the said feature also constitutes an integrated burning mechanism, which will automatically burn SHIB when the pictures are changed by a user.
In addition to this, the users can also utilize SHIB tokens to lease HUBS in the Metaverse. HUBS can be defined as special or valuable/reserved land plots in the entire Shib: The Metaverse. Furthermore, the Shib tokens can also be utilized by users to rename plots in the Metaverse.
It’s been an eventful week for Shiba Inu crypto, as it’s been recently listed by popular trading platform Robinhood which sent its prices soaring past 20%. According to the data acquired from analytics firm IntoTheBlock, the Shiba Inu crypto has also registered an increase in HODLing activity, which signifies that the long-term shib investors are holding Shiba Inu coins to earn better yields rather than selling them off in the market.
“SHIB hodlers remain unfazed and accumulated during the past weeks and it’s paying off with today’s Robinhood announcement,” IntoTheBlock said via Telegram broadcast.
The blockchain analytics firm also added that the Shib Hodlers or addresses that have been holding SHIB for more than a year have increased to 3,750 since January 2022.
Shiba Inu land bid event is a part of Shib: The Metaverse introductory phase that includes unlocking 36,431 land plots for further sale and investment. At press time, the Shiba Inu token is trading at 0.00002638 and is up by 13.05% in the last 24 hours.
